Margot Heard founded Lazy A Ranch in Bellville, Texas, with her husband Bill after purchasing the property in 2008. Margot’s passion for ranching was influenced by her father, Tom Terry, a pioneering Texas farmer and cattleman. After a successful career in education, Margot and Bill decided to return to their roots and raise Akaushi and British White cattle. They implemented Holistic Management principles, focusing on animal welfare and pasture health.
