Margot Heard founded Lazy A Ranch in Bellville, Texas, with her husband Bill after purchasing the property in 2008. With a background in education and a deep-rooted passion for ranching, Margot was influenced by her father, Tom Terry, a pioneering Texas farmer and cattleman. After a successful career as head of Saint Nicholas School in Houston, she and Bill moved to rural Texas to raise Akaushi and British White cattle. Their focus on holistic management principles emphasizes animal welfare, pasture health, and high-quality grass-fed beef for families and local communities.
