Margot Heard founded Lazy A Ranch in Bellville, Texas, with her husband Bill after purchasing the property in 2008. Margot’s passion for ranching was influenced by her father, Tom Terry, a pioneering Texas farmer and cattleman. After a successful career in education as the head of Saint Nicholas School in Houston, Margot and Bill decided to return to their roots. They embraced Holistic Management principles, focusing on animal welfare, pasture health, and producing high-quality grass-fed beef for families and local communities.
